Leveraging European Trade Indexes Registries to Support the EU Clean Corporate Vehicles Regulation and Green-Digital Transition
This document presents input from the DigitalTrade4.EU consortium on the European Commission’s forthcoming Regulation on Clean Corporate Vehicles. It proposes leveraging the European Trade Indexes Registry (EUTIR) as a digital trust infrastructure to support the regulation’s goals of accelerating zero-emission vehicle (ZEV) adoption in corporate fleets, harmonising market signals, and enhancing EU automotive competitiveness. By anchoring verifiable data on vehicle compliance, carbon footprint, and financing, EUTIR can streamline reporting, enable interoperability with systems like Digital Product Passports (DPPs) and CBAM, and facilitate transparent, AI-ready monitoring of fleet decarbonisation—advancing both the green and digital transitions.
