June 2025

This document presents input from the DigitalTrade4.EU consortium to the European Commission’s evaluation of the Cosmetic Products Regulation (CPR). It advocates for leveraging digital solutions—particularly Digital Product Passports (DPPs)—to enhance consumer safety, market transparency, sustainability, and support for SMEs in the cosmetics sector. The submission emphasizes interoperability, alignment with EU digital frameworks like eIDAS 2.0 and MLETR, and synergies with policies such as the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) to enable a transparent ‘farm-to-face’ value chain.
